Experienced Full Time Vet required
Permanent full time vet with at least 12 months experience required to join our 100% small animal clinic at the Best Vets in West Sussex 2021, The Mewes Vets Ltd, Haywards Heath.
No OOH, paid overtime, flexible weekday shifts, 1 in 3 Saturday mornings.
Our colleague of 14 years has asked for early retirement to follow her dream, so we are looking for a new vet to join our multi-award winning team. Check out our team and choose any of them to have a chat with before applying.
Haywards Heath is a wealthy area of Sussex where clients appreciate our "treating pets as friends" approach, and our constant endeavour to uphold our one-pet-one-vet concept. We register patients with one of our vets, and always attempt to allow them to see the same vet, at each appointment, unless their problem is an emergency, or the vet is on leave.
As the boss, I still work clinically within the team, and have focused my recent efforts on supporting the welfare of the people I work with, second only to the welfare of our patients. We remain and intend to remain proudly independent, and RCVS accredited. I want you to be able to think for yourself, and make a treatment plan that is best for the patient AND the client's budget.
We have digital x-ray, an excellent ultrasound machine and in-house lab. The team is a 3 FTVE, ably supported by 8 long serving highly competent RVNs, 4 SVNs and 2 support staff. Together we celebrate our quarter century of caring for the pets in Haywards Heath this summer.
Certificate holders, or those working towards certification are particularly encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will have 5 weeks' paid holiday, paid CPD and memberships, and no sole charge.
Join our genuinely supportive team, and stretch your wings, doing veterinary practice for all the reasons you joined the profession.
COVID-19 considerations: We are still currently taking strong anti-COVID precautions, including working within bonded pairs; remote working; use of appropriate PPE; enhanced cleaning and hand hygiene; and requesting that clients remain outside during their pets' appointment.
