Join us as we grow our clinic in Rottingdean, a 10 minute bus ride from central Brighton. We expect the rota to be 4 days per week for 9.25 hours, with Tuesdays or Wednesdays off (tbc), and one in three Saturday mornings, but are also interested in talking to candidates looking for part-time work.

The Mewes Vets is an independent clinic, owned by Julia Mewes MRCVS, who works in the team.

We are all committed to our “one pet, one vet” policy – meaning every time a client visits, they’ll see a familiar face, ensuring continuity of care for patients and allowing us to build strong bonds with both them and their owners, while also helping to make the practice a lovely place to work in. And we extend this concept to our consulting nurses as well.

We are looking for a qualified RVN, whose strength is in the consulting room. We need you to conduct weight management clinics, as well as all the usual nurse consultations. Training will be provided, if required. Preference will be given to an RVN also interested in supporting trainees, ie one who is already a clinical coach, or willing to become one.

There are no out-of-hours as this will be outsourced to another clinic, 20 minutes away. If we run late, which is pretty unusual, any overtime is paid – you are absolutely not expected to work overtime for free. You will be positively encouraged to develop and maintain a good work-life balance.

We are offering:

• a salary of £30,000 – £33,000pa before overtime and bonuses, depending on your experience and any additional qualifications.
• clinical coaches receive a bonus when they are mentoring a student.
