It’s that time of year again!
The time when we choose one stand-out charity to support, and invite all of you lovely pet owners to enter our calendar competition.
It’s very easy:
You probably have lots of gorgeous photos of your four-legged friends. Just get out your very best ones, and email them to us.
They might be arty or amusing. Your cat might be posing or pouncing. It could be an action shot or a group portrait.
Whatever you think might catch our judge’s eye this year – give it a go!
Our competition is free to enter, and you can enter as many images as you wish. Our kind judge is Haywards Heath Mayor, Councillor Alastair McPherson who will choose the overall winner to grace the cover of the calendar. We will also award prizes for the monthly winners, plus we will include as many runners-up photos in the calendar as we can.
This year, sales of these glorious calendars will all be donated to the British Chihuahua Club Rescue Association. This registered charity’s aims are to relieve the suffering and distress of Chihuahua dogs in need of care, attention or rehoming as a result of ill treatment, hardship, neglect or change of circumstances.
At the Mewes, we have worked alongside volunteers from this charity for many years, and been deeply impressed by their commitment to each little individual’s welfare and health. Rescues come in from all parts of the country, and every single one has its medical issues resolved, so that they only go on to forever homes in the very best condition. As a result, our team have become experts at mini dog care, and many have even adopted some of these little charmers into their homes!
To enter the competition, and help us raise funds for the British Chihuahua Club Rescue Association, just email your favourite photos to mewescompetition@gmail.com by midnight on the 31st October. Good luck! Winners will be announced at our Christmas Party on Saturday 7th December from 11am to 12 midday, to which you are all invited.
