Important information - cat vaccination shortage

There is currently a national shortage of cat vaccines.

This is due to the ramp up in human COVID vaccination production which is impacting the human and animal health supply chains.

Unfortunately, because of this issue we are currently only able to vaccinate the following groups of cats until further notice:

  • Kittens that need their first and or second vaccinations
  • Cats that are 15 months old

Any cats that fall outside of these groups are classed as adults and their vaccinations are routine annual vaccinations. We have 15 months to get these done before they go overdue.

Please do not worry we won’t let their vaccinations go overdue. However, please do give us the time to contact you when we are able to book them in rather than you contacting us.

Also, we kindly request that you don’t book any routine adult cat vaccinations via our online booking system at this time.

Thank you so much for your understanding, and please accept our sincere apologies for this frustrating problem, which is beyond our control. We are expecting this to be resolved by the end of the year.

Please note that we have plenty of vets and nurses willing to help if your pet is unwell or needs a health check. Our capacity is not affected by this supply problem. To schedule this you can book online at themewesvets.co.uk/book-online.
